PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Due to the ongoing pandemic, remote or hybrid learning will continue for most of our school districts. Distant learning disrupts the delivery of education many for many of our students and families. The absence of such services places additional economic and psychological stress on families, which can increase the risk for family conflict and violence. Our RISE UP Program will provide support to families and students in need of assistance throughout the remainder of academic school year. Our #1 goal is to help mitigate virtual educational disparities by furnishing transportation, meal programs, tutor support, social engagement, and mental wellness services.
With the support of the City of Columbus, Department of Neighborhoods My Brother’s Keeper Village (MBK). We are able to serve 50 students attending school remotely or in hybrid format. Utilizing smaller groups ensures that proper safety protocols can be followed, and any potential risks can be minimized.
