SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION

The “Be Legendary” Scholarship was created to reward young, bright African American students who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to community service and education. A $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to two (2) deserving students who will attend and maintain a full-time status at an accredited Historically Black College and University in the fall of 2020.

To apply, students must submit an essay with a minimum of 200 words by answering the following question , “Explain how your decision to attend an HBCU is preparing you for the future.” To start the process, please click the link below.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP A CANDIDATE MUST:

Complete all requirements of the scholarship application. [Note: Essay will be judged on concept, grammar, and content.]
Applicants must possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 system.
Applicant must be a registered full-time student. If a student drops below the required full-time status, the Scholarship Selection Committee will adjust the grant received to 50% of the award allocated for that semester.

The “Be Legendary” scholarship will commence on August 3rd, 2020. The final deadline for submission is August 17, 2020 at 5pm.

A $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to two (2) deserving students who will be attending selected HBCU’s this fall.

Awardees will be notified by a member of the Legacy U staff by Friday, August 21st at 5pm. Awardee must be available to receive the award at the Legacy U Complex.
